Happy New Year!

It's been a while, but lets face it, blogging is put last on the "to do" list when you are constantly running to the toilet survivng the holidays!

Our first Christmas in Colorado was wonderful.  We had a houseful of both invinted and uninvited guests.(more on that later) We did things a little different this year, by opening gifts on Christmas Eve and only having Santa presents on Christmas day.....Oh wait....back up a few days....

Lobster came home from work early and was able to be home for Christmas.  During this time we got engaged!!!!!  He is so brave....(not for wanting to marry me...) he took BOTH boys to Jared's in what turned out to be a 4 hour expierence.  When they came home, he gave the boys the rings (the wedding band and engagement ring...silly man) and they asked me to marry him....kind of.  He must have bribed them with opening a present early, so they handed me the rings and said "Now can we open a present?"  I actually thought it was all a joke becuase Lobster is quite the jokester!

So back to Christmas....I couldn't help but notice in the heaping pile of presents that there was another small  box under the tree with a stricking resemblance to the same box my rings came in......after everyone had destroyed my living room opened their presents, he told me to open that little box.  Wowa....diamond earings!  He was tired of my ole fakies I guess!  So the rest of Christmas is a blur, because I spent the whole day staring a the bling.  (Really I did)

We spent New Year's Eve in North Dakota with my Lobster at work.  I didn't even make it until midnight, but sweet Lobster woke me with a kiss to ring in 2010!

We are currently planning a trip to Disney for Thing 1's 5th birthday.  It's hard to believe he is going to be the BIG 0 5!  Thing 2 thinks he is 5 too, so instead of going back for his 5th Birthday, we are going to just let him think this is his 5th birthday too!  (I'm kidding, but its worth a shot.)

As for Chip.....well what can I say.....after week 10 I felt fine....still not showing and full of energy.  Most days I forget I'm pregnant.  I'm told he is the size of a lemon right now.  (I'm not sure if it's a tiny lemon from Food Lion or a big lemon from Harris Teeter.) We are still discussing names.....although at this point everyone is planning to call Chip something different. In fact as of today she will begin kindergarten with a name like  Barbra Jean Baby Lin Chippet Emmie G and then our long last name.  Whew what a mouth full.  If its a boy....Chip should be just fine!

Wishing all of you a wonderful 2010!!!! XOXO

Happy Thanksgiving.....

Chase's class made a book for all the families that quoted each child's plans and traditions for Thanksgiving.  Here is what Chase wrote: "We're staying in Colorado for Thanksgiving.  We'll eat strawberries, carrots, beef, corn and ice cream and cupcakes for dessert. My mommy cooks on the stove and in the microwave."  They handed me the book as Chase told his teacher "My mommy use to make us cookies, but not anymore."  Thanks Chase!

Blueberries

Yup...that's Chip...The blueberry!  I am 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant today.....I know it's confusing, but that means I'm in my 7th week.  Chip is the size of a blueberry.  However, Chip does not like blueberries.  Or KFC for that matter.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 had an interesting conversation the other day:
Thing 2:  I no feel good...this dinner yucky.
Thing 1:  Maybe you have a baby in your belly.

Who needs cable when I have them to entertain me!?

Welcom to Bug and the Babies~

Welcome to my new blog!  Life has been changing, so I decided to get a different blog!  (5 minutes with Chase has been long over due for a new look!  We have added and subtracted a lot in the last few years!)

So here we are with a fresh new start!  My Lobster and I are busy completing our dream home.  We squeeze that into raising a family and Lobster's crazy work schedule, but I think we are finally on the path to completion!  Thing 1 and 2 need some where out of my way to play more room to play with winter approaching, so the completed basement is a much welcome addition.  In our sleep free time we have also been able to add a new addition to the family.  We will be completing our family with  welcoming Chip (as in Chip off the old block) to the world this summer.  Everyone is very excited.  Especially Thing 1 who is already picking our Christmas presents for his sister....hmmm....not surprisingly, they are all toys he could use as well.

We hope you enjoy getting to know our family~
